Perforce Defect Tracking Gateway
P4DTG, the Perforce Defect Tracking Gateway, allows information to be shared between Perforce jobs (typically bug fixes and enhancement requests) and an external defect tracking system. All the technology necessary to implement an integrated solution comes built into P4DTG.
Easy to Install and Configure
Using a visual configuration editor, you can easily map and define the fields between a defect tracking system and jobs. The editor allows you to map data sets contained in multi-value listboxes with point and click ease. The one- or two-way replication of data can be implemented on a field by field basis.
Automatically Propagates Changes
A built-in replication engine ensures updates to the defect tracking system are synchronized with Perforce jobs. Changelists (a set of files accompanied by a description of the work implemented) can also be replicated.
Filtered Replication
Jobs and defects in a single data source can be classified into segments and conditionally replicated to the appropriate defect tracker. Using segments, a single Perforce server instance has the capability of integrating with multiple disparate defect tracking technologies.
Support for HP Quality Center 9.0, 9.2, 10.0 and Bugzilla 3.0
P4DTG includes fully supported plug-ins for HP Quality Center 9.0, 9.2, and 10.0 and Bugzilla 3.0 and later. The Bugzilla plug-in supports bidirectional replication for most fields, including Status/Resolution.
P4DTG SDK Available
An SDK allowing customers and vendors to develop integrations to support commercial and in-house defect tracking systems is available. For more information about the P4DTG SDK, please email partners@perforce.com.
