You've probably noticed that Perforce recently refreshed our brand with a new logo and color palette. Our refreshed brand brings our portfolio together under a unified, modern identity that showcases the full power of Perforce.
Now, we're taking one more step toward unifying the Perforce portfolio by simplifying some of our product names. Accordingly, Perforce Helix ALM is now simply "Perforce ALM."
While our logo and product names have changed, our commitment to providing a trusted ALM solution with unparalleled traceability remains the same. You'll see the new name rolled out gradually across our web pages, documentation, and the Perforce ALM product over the coming months.
A Bit of Perforce ALM History
Perforce acquired Seapine Software, provider of an application lifecycle management (ALM) solution called "Test Track," in 2016. The acquisition expanded Perforce's portfolio that, at the time, included solutions for version control and code review, allowing the company to offer customers additional capabilities across the development pipeline.
Perforce renamed Test Track to "Helix ALM" to align the solution with Perforce's industry standard version control solution, Helix Core. Over the years, the "Helix" family of products grew to include multiple complementary solutions, including Helix DAM, Helix IPLM, Helix Plan, Helix QAC, and more.
New Product Names All Around
Perforce ALM isn't the only product getting a new name! Helix Core is returning to its roots with its new name, Perforce P4, and a select number of corresponding tools within our digital creation suite will now be unified under the Perforce P4 Platform.
Other Perforce solutions aligning under the simplified Perforce naming convention include Perforce IPLM (formerly Helix IPLM), the leading IP lifecycle management solution for semiconductor and embedded system design; Perforce QAC (formerly Helix QAC), the preferred static code analyzer for highly regulated, safety-critical industries; and more.
