Yes. You can absolutely set up a Helix Core Cloud instance but take note that advanced network infrastructure options such as edge servers, brokers, and proxy servers are not currently available with Helix Core Cloud.
Yes. Helix Core Cloud is the fastest path to scalable version control for small teams, and it can be your complete replacement for Git — with added scalability for the large file sizes and IP your industry needs.
Helix Core Cloud is ideal for new customers. If you are a team under 50, and interested in migrating over to Helix Core Cloud, please contact your account manager and we can discuss your options, including migration to Helix Core Cloud or our Helix Remote Administration service.
Not at all. We developed this newly hosted offering in response to consumer demand for a turnkey cloud solution of Helix Core. Perforce will continue to support on-premises, hybrid and cloud deployment options, as many of the industries we serve continue to have specific server requirements.

Our Helix Core server is still free for up to 5 users and 20 workspaces.
Helix Swarm can be activated after the purchase and setup of Helix Core Cloud. You must have a minimum of 3 users actively subscribed to activate Helix Swarm.
Helix Swarm is a free add-on for Helix Core Cloud accounts with 3 or more users.
Once subscribed to Helix Core Cloud, you can update your subscription to activate Helix Swarm (if you have an account with 3 or more users).
Since Helix Swarm is pre-configured inside of Helix Core Cloud, we do not allow any extending of Swarm. We also do not allow any user administration of Swarm.
