Install or update the license file

To install or update the license in P4Admin without having to restart the Helix Core Server:

1. Copy the new license file to the P4ROOT directory. (See P4ROOT in the Helix Core Command-Line (P4) Reference.)

2. Start P4Admin on the server machine.

3. On the P4Admin Administration Home tab, select Load new license file.

4. Browse to the new license file and select it.

If the new license file passes all checks, the new license is in effect. However, if the Server's IP address or port has changed, you might see an error. If so, stop the server, copy the new license file to P4ROOT, and restart the server.
