Thumbnail/Preview generation: Supported file types
This section details the file types that Helix Search can generate thumbnails/previews for.
Thumbnails/previews are only generated by Helix Search if it is configured to generate them.
Enable thumbnail/preview generation by setting the com.perforce.p4search.index.thumbnail configurable to true in the indexer config.properties file. See Indexer configuration to configure it using the Helix Search Web UI.

Render: If Helix Search supports rendering for an asset file type, Helix Render positions camera and lighting for the 3D object, and generates a rendered 2D preview image and a 3D GLB model.

Texture: If Helix Search supports texture files for an asset type and a texture file is versioned with the asset file, Helix Render will add the texture to the preview image and the GLB model.
