When you login to Helix ALM, you’ll see a dashboard with an overview of important updates on your project.
First, we’ll create a requirement in Helix RM.
Open up an existing requirements document.
And add a brand-new requirement. You can also take this requirement through a workflow. Once it goes through a workflow and gets approved, you can generate a test case inside of Helix TCM.
You can execute your test case by creating a test run. Simply fill out your test variables and variants and the test run will be generated for you. Test variants or variables can be customized to suit your needs.
Next, you can go into a test run and see what has passed and failed. You can even pass ord fail individual steps.
When a test fails, it creates a defect in Helix IM. You can then assign it to someone to fix.
In Helix ALM, you can create a traceability matrix report that links your requirements, test cases, test runs, and defects.
This is a great way to see your end to end traceability and manage your impact of change across these various items.
So, you’ll always know if a requirement is fulfilled, if a test run has passed, and if an issue has been resolved.
