Displaying Perforce Server Info
The Server Info page displays information regarding
your connection with the Perforce server.
Command:
The string "Server Info".
Result:
The output of the Server Info command, including:
- User name: your Perforce user ID
- Client name: the name of your Perforce client
- Client host: the name of the host on which P4Web is running (?)
- Client root: your current client root
- Current directory: the current working directory, in local syntax
- Client address: The IP address and port of your P4Web client.
Note that the port will change; this is the port on which
P4Web is listening for data from the Perforce server,
not the port on which P4Web listens for requests
from your web browser.
- Server address: The P4PORT setting used by P4Web; the host
and port on which the Perforce server resides and listens.
- Server root: The root directory of the Perforce server.
- Server version: The version of p4d running on the Perforce server.
- Server license: Licensing information for your Perforce server.
Perforce technical support personnel may need the contents of the
Server Info to help you; your system administrator may also
need some of this information.
