Rogue Wave Software acquires Gliffy, top performer in the Atlassian Marketplace

Acquisition expands portfolio of visualization solutions that improve time to market

Rogue Wave Software today announced it has acquired Gliffy, the visionary company behind Gliffy Diagram and Gliffy Project, for an undisclosed amount. Used by both technical and business users, Gliffy solutions improve visual collaboration between teams, leading to improved productivity and faster time to market. With more than 10,000 customers using Gliffy technology to add diagramming capabilities to top Atlassian products, Confluence and Jira, Gliffy Diagram is one of the top downloaded applications in the Atlassian marketplace.

Brian Pierce, Rogue Wave CEO said, “Today’s announcement builds on our current portfolio of solutions that are designed to simplify software development complexity, improve application quality and security, and shorten cycle times. Gliffy is unparalleled in the ability to improve team collaboration and communication by adding visualization to important development and collaboration tools that are used by a fast-growing number of companies."

With increased competition facing companies, it has never been more important for companies to deliver high-quality products and solutions quickly. Speeding up cycle times through improved team collaboration and communication allows enterprises to more effectively innovate by bringing clarity to requirements and project planning.

“From the beginning, we’ve focused on creating tools that harness the power of visuals to bridge communication gaps and help teams work better together,” said Jeremy Kreitler, Gliffy CEO. “Our passion and vision for Gliffy aligns well the outstanding portfolio of development and visualization solutions available at Rogue Wave Software. We’re excited about the opportunity to expand the technology and bring the benefits of this combined team to our customers.”

Gliffy, an Atlassian Top Platinum Vendor, offers two solutions that help teams improve speed and collaboration by using visualization to explain complex concepts within the current tools used to help teams collaborate and prioritize. Gliffy Diagram provides users a tool to add diagrams directly to a Confluence workspace or into a Jira ticket and leverage visuals to provide more clarity about the project. In addition, the newly released Gliffy Project enables DevOps teams to plan releases and development workloads by combining visual workflows like whiteboards, flowcharts, and wireframes, with Jira.
