Virgin Money is a purposely digital bank. Our mission is simple: to make our customers happier about money.
To stay competitive, it is critical that we deliver technology changes to market quickly. Our main challenge was maintaining high-quality environments and consistently refreshing and masking data end to end across all environments.
We conducted a thorough evaluation of the tools available in the market against our requirements. We needed a solution that could refresh environments from production quickly and securely, consistently mask data across all platforms, and integrate with our DevOps pipelines to accelerate automation.
After evaluating multiple toolsets, Delphix was the only solution that exceeded our expectations.
Adopting Delphix was almost an overnight decision. We went from early work on a data-as-a-service model to having fully functioning environments within hours and days. Our teams were able to certify test results that had taken months to achieve previously.
We can now provision a large number of databases in minutes. If a test fails, we can immediately discard the environment and start again. Previously, highly skilled teams would spend nights or even weeks rebuilding datasets to reach the exact point of failure. Now, we can rerun those tests almost instantly.
